What was once a quirky, somewhat eerie toy store—complete with the owner living upstairs—was transformed into one of Charlotte's most iconic craft beer bars and restaurants. A visionary husband-and-wife team imagined what the space could become, taking a chance on craft beer at a time when it was still relatively unknown in Charlotte. They also chose an area, South End, that was far from ideal for development at the time. Yet, their foresight and determination paid off, and their concept helped shape the future of the neighborhood. Now, more than a decade later, this hotspot thrives in one of Charlotte's most sought-after areas, standing as a testament to bold ideas and transformative vision.
QC PourHouse
QC Pourhouse began as a dark, dungeon-like space with low ceilings, presenting a unique challenge for transformation. Thanks to the creative expertise of the architectural firm D3, the space was reimagined into an iconic neighborhood bar full of character and charm. Jay, the owner, approached us with his clear vision for the concept, and we were honored to help bring it to life. By flawlessly executing his ideas and contributing in meaningful ways, we played a part in turning this space into a thriving establishment. We’re proud of our role in QC Pourhouse’s remarkable transformation and its ongoing success.
Idelwild Cocktail Lounge
Idlewild is the realization of one man’s dream. Vince, a New Yorker with a vision, saw a gap in Charlotte’s nightlife—a private cocktail lounge reminiscent of the exclusive experiences he’d encountered abroad. His concept was simple yet bold: only allow as many guests as there are chairs, ensuring an intimate atmosphere where no one’s experience is compromised by overcrowding. The architectural firm D3 brought this vision to life with stunning finishes, creating a one-of-a-kind, cozy, and sophisticated space. Idlewild stands as a testament to Vince’s innovative idea, offering Charlotte a truly unique and personal cocktail experience.

IBR, Octapharma, Talecris Plasma - 62 Locations
What began as a straightforward plasma center renovation in Rockford, Illinois, evolved into a five-year partnership with International Bio Resources (IBR) Plasma Donations. Recognizing our ability to align with their ambitious expansion goals, IBR quickly made us their go-to contractor. Their unique business model focused on building plasma centers, navigating the complex FDA inspection process, and achieving approval to sell plasma to pharmaceutical companies. Once approved—a process that could take up to a year—IBR would sell the businesses to major players like Octapharma or Talecris. The FDA approval process posed significant challenges for many, but IBR became experts in overcoming these hurdles.
